Day 8 Lifestyle Goals

What is a lifestyle? Like really? Is it having a life of leisure? A never ending vacation? Brunch and mimosas all day errrday? ( that sounds pretty dope actually).

To me my lifestyle goal is a controlled chaos. If I had to pick three words for my ideal lifestyle they would be Ease, excitement, love. I want things to be easy, simple and full of things and people I love. I Love to travel and being random but I know that it comes with a cost. I have learned with age if you plan you free time it is must more enjoyable.

Plan for free time? Say what now?

It may sound wacked but hear me out. For a long time I have suffered from anxiety. This anxiety is based in too many things to do and not enough time to do them all.

So what do I do? Nothing everything get so overwhelming that I cant do anything. Now I’m sitting on the couch watching tv thinking about all the other things I should be doing. Or I go to bed just to lay awake running through the the 10 things I HAVE to do before I go to work. worked: I would plan for freedom. I would make a list of the top 3 things I need to accomplish in a week. Just 5 not 8 or 10 that’s too many. Once I completed those items I could add 3 more if I felt up to it. Once I completed my three items I could catch up on one of my shows, free from guilt. One of the books that has helped me with my procrastination is called Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time

What didn’t work: Trying to knock everything off of my 20 item list on a Saturday, while most of the time I got everything done I would end my day frazzled and cranky.

Lifestyle goal: I realized that the biggest thing keeping me from my easy and simplicity is all my stuff. Some would say junk others might call me a hoarder. I spend a lot of my free time looking for things, trying to find places to put things, and balancing things on other things. My goal is to reduce my possessions and only try to hold on to items that are either necessary or I love ( or spark joy!) I have a goal to reduce my possessions for 30 items. Now thirty item may not sound like a lot but I consider 1 item as a grouping of things ( so throwing out 30 CDs is 1 item).

Day 8 dizzle fo shizzle
